Volunteer and assistent in theatre and opera to directors Rudolf Noelte, Jean-Pierre Ponnelle, Harry Kupfer, David Esrig, Joachim Herz and Ernst Wendt.

1982-87 Studies philosophy at the Jesuit University of Philosophy in Munich. M. A. thesis on Wagner's "Ring".

1984-89 Studies at the Munich Film Academy (HFF), feature film dpt.

1985-91 Studies conducting and phenomenology of music with Sergiu Celibidache in Munich, Mainz, and Paris.

Since 1999   Lecturer in directing and producing at the Theatre Academy of Burghausen.

Prizes include: Czech Crystal (Golden Prague), Silver Medal (Chicago International Film Festival), Nomination for the German Film Prize, Classique en images, Columbus International Film Festival, Dance Screen.
